2005 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Rebecca's Vineyard

From the steep, terraced rocky hillsides of this spectacular vineyard, one can survey the whole of the estate as well as the whole world around. These vines fight for every drop of moisture and nourishment available and, because of their struggle, produce low yields of small-berried clusters that virtually burst with concentration, complexity and depth. In barrel, Rebecca's Vineyard Cabernet, 2005, shows the sophistication, the struggle, the determination to be anything but average, displaying blueberry-cherry-cassis notes undergirded with those seductive sandlewood, spearmint, and spice characteristics we have come to crave from this wine. After two years luxuriating on French oak, she will be captured in the bottle for another year and released in the fall of 2008. So worth the wait!
